Build a Rolex GMT-Master II "Pepsi" inspired Seiko mod
TL;DR
Build a Rolex GMT-Master II "Pepsi" inspired Seiko mod from curated, compatible parts. The default build is $495 before shipping or taxes. It is inspired by the look, not a replica of the watch.
This is a Rolex GMT-Master II "Pepsi" inspired build. A polished steel case, the red-and-blue Pepsi bezel, a black GMT dial, and a steel Jubilee bracelet bring back one of the most recognisable Rolex colourways.
The Pepsi GMT's identity is almost entirely in its bezel. Everything else here, the case, dial, and bracelet, is chosen to support that red-and-blue insert rather than compete with it.

How this differs from the real watch
- The real GMT-Master II uses Rolex's calibre 3285 with an independently adjustable local hour hand. This build uses an NH34-compatible foundation, but the current catalog configuration still needs a separate fourth GMT hand before it can display a second time zone.
- Rolex's two-colour Cerachrom bezel is a single ceramic piece. This build's red-and-blue insert is aftermarket, and the exact shade split will differ from the genuine part.
- The Jubilee bracelet's five-piece link construction and Rolex's own clasp are proprietary. The compatible steel bracelet here matches the look in style, not in engineering or finishing.
Dial
This GMT-marked black dial is built for the NH34 movement's date position and 24-hour scale.
Movement
The NH34 is the correct movement family for a four-hand GMT build, and this dial is matched to it. This catalog configuration still needs a compatible fourth GMT hand before the second-time-zone function is complete.
Hands
Mercedes hands keep the case's Submariner-family identity even with the GMT dial and bezel added.
Case
The polished 38mm steel SKX013 case is NH34-ready, giving the movement stack the required clearance in a compact all-steel format.
Bezel ring
The polished silver SKX013 bezel matches the steel case and correctly fits the selected sloped insert.
Bezel insert
The ceramic red-and-blue 24-hour SKX013 insert is the defining Pepsi element and provides the scale for a GMT hand.
Chapter ring
A brushed black SKX013 chapter ring frames the dial without competing with the red-and-blue bezel.
Crown
The silver coin-edge SKX013 crown matches the polished steel case and completes the case assembly.
Strap or bracelet
The steel Jubilee bracelet matches the case and keeps the five-link visual associated with the inspiration.

Common questions
- How much does a GMT-Master II Pepsi inspired Seiko mod cost?
- The default build lands around $500 before shipping and taxes. The configuration-dependent Rolex GMT-Master II comparison is dated above, while the mod total updates with catalog pricing. It is a homage build using aftermarket parts and is not connected to Rolex.
- Does this build actually work as a GMT watch?
- The movement and 24-hour bezel support it, but the current catalog configuration does not include a separate GMT hand. Add a compatible fourth hand before relying on the build to track a second time zone.
- Can I use a normal NH35 movement instead?
- No. The GMT-marked dial and NH34-ready case are selected for the taller four-hand GMT movement stack. A standard NH35 does not provide the fourth GMT-hand function.
- Why use a steel Jubilee bracelet?
- It keeps the case and bracelet finish coherent while preserving the five-link dress-sport character associated with the GMT-Master II.
