How this differs from the real watch
- The real MM300 uses Seiko's 8L35 in-house movement, a titanium-and-steel case, and a Diashield hard coating. This build uses a steel case and an NH35, so it is heavier and less scratch-resistant.
- The MM300's Zaratsu-polished case bevels are hand-finished by Seiko's own case-making studio. This mod case is stamped and simply finished by comparison.
- Seiko rates the MM300 to 300m; treat this aftermarket build as a display piece unless independently pressure tested.
Dial
A plain black dial with no clutter is the professional-diver look the MM300 is known for. Date-only keeps the face cleanest.
Movement
The NH35 is the standard automatic choice for this date-only dial.
